Bernard William Jewry (27 September 1942 – 23 October 2014), known as Alvin Stardust, was an English pop singer and stage actor. Performing first as Shane Fenton, Stardust's stage and screen career spanned over a half-century. He is best known for singles released in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1982 he releases the song “Weekend”, a cover song by Eddie Cochran. The song was written by Bill and Doree Post and recorded in April 1959. Produced by famous producer Peter Collins, who´d produced records by: Gary Moore, Bon Jovi, Rush, Air Supply, Alice Cooper, Nik Kershaw, Suicidal Tendencies, Indigo Girls, Jermaine Stewart, Jane Wiedlin, October Project, The Cardigans, Rosetta Stone, Josh Joplin, Tracey Ullman, and Drake Bell.
