The Tubes are a San Francisco-based rock band. The Tubes formed in 1972 in San Francisco from two Phoenix bands after both relocated to San Francisco in 1969. The Beans featured Bill Spooner, Rick Anderson, Vince Welnick and Bob Macintosh, while The Red White and Blues Band featured Prairie Prince, Roger Steen and David Killingsworth.
“The Completion Backward Principle” was their sixth studio album, and the group's first for Capitol Records. It is a concept album presented as a motivational business document. The album contains the hit single, "Don't Want To Wait Anymore", which peaked at number 35 for two weeks on the US Billboard Hot 100.
